Publisher’s note: An old, damaged copy of a student’s edition of Lady Hestia Evans’s Mythology was recently lent to the publisher. In addition to various inserts and newspaper clippings from the period, it contained notes purporting to come from a certain John Oro, gentleman traveler and collector of antiquities, who apparently attempted to use the book to contact the ancient green gods for his own selfish gain.

The publisher hopes that while this facsimile (whilst lacking the extraordinary metallic content of the original) will provide sufficient warning to anyone foolish enough to try and follow in his footsteps.
