1999 e46 BMW 318i

Imported from Japan by me in 2008 at 80,000 km (certified).

Routine maintenance and regular servicing done by BMW specialist shops or myself. I have most of the paperwork since 80,000 kms.

The Bad Stuff

• Paintwork is rough in places with some tree sap and sunscreen marks in places.
• Alloy wheels are curbed in places.
• It has an oil leak from somewhere around the sump area.
• The LH (passenger) side mirror doesn't move (glued in place). Mirror can still be adjusted electronically.

The Good Stuff

• It passed the last WOF in September with no issues and has good tread left on all four Hankook tires (roughly 5 mm).
• It has a baby seat hook professionally install in the rear.
• It has no issues with the Japanese Airbags (confirmed by BMW NZ).
• Approximately 2,000 km ago I replaced a number of components and seals including; CCV hose and valve Camshaft position sensor Oil filter housing gasket Rocker cover gasket and bolt seals Upper chain cover gasket Water intake block manifold. All OEM parts used.
• At the same time coolant was flushed and replaced and oil was changed with Castrol Magnatec which is what the car has always run.
• I have also recently cleaned the ICV and the MAF intake butterfly valve.
• Within the last 50,000 kms it has had new brakes, rotors and wear sensors and a new radiator.
• The car currently has no fault codes showing using my foxwell diagnostic scanner.

This car runs well at the moment but is an old car with high kms going very cheap. Therefore it is sold "as is where is."
