The author gives the fit out details each of the 36 ships and the role that hey played in the Union Line, the routes they sailed and services they provided. Once being the mode of international and inter island travel they were a focal part of New Zealand’s transport network nationally and internationally. Find out also what ultimately became of some of the ships. An account of luxury travel from a bygone era.
