Ford Escort Van Trailer
$1,800
Description
Bought this already chopped up and A-framed and freshly painted, but incomplete about a year ago, and finished it off about 6 months ago, but after a good 4000km roady over xmas/new years I have just purchased a (fullsized!) van (without a tow bar...) so this has to go.
Newly registered as a 2016 Ford Escort Trailer, (about 6 months to go) with a 'new vehicles' 3 year WoF (with about 2 1/2 years to go).
This wee beasty tows really good (very light) and as you can see can be piled up pretty good too. It is also very secure with the front box lockable and the rear doors deadbolted.
People love it, gets lots of looks and attention.
I have slept in it (diagonally) but its about 1 foot too short fro a std mattress to fit - i have fashioned a floor extension that works with the doors open - need a tarp or awning to complete.
Included is a factory jack, some RS mudflaps i nevery got around to fitting, some cortina rear shocks (in case you wanted to put them on) an extra scissor jack, and the full interior including solar powered light.
NOT INCLUDED the roof racks and roof box, or bike rack, and will come with a set (4) of 12" escort steelies (and centre caps) instead of the CHEVIOT TURBOS.
All this is avaliable by negotiation, and i will hold off listing the set (4) of Turbos & tyres separately until the auction ends.
This was obviously not a minter before it was converted, and the paint prep was a bit shabby but the trailerising and so on is very solid and will last a long time if looked after/covered storage, which is not happening on my driveway by the sea. I did cavity wax + fish oil it before lining the inside.
Great as a summer camping trailer, promotional vehicle or to hook up behind your classic Ford (or Holden!) and rule the highways.
Will consider Part Exchange on a Nissan E25 Towbar or garden Trailer (min 7x5) :)
The 2003 4WD Caldina will also be listed soon but as it has the tow bar trailer has to go first!
