Volkswagen Kombi Camper 1963

This split screen Kombi is an original Dormobile Camper in sublime condition.

Great for summer camping with family or friends.

It was manufactured in Germany in 1963 then converted into a four berth camper in England by none other than Dormobile before being sent to New Zealand in 1964.

Originally Red, this Camper was painted in the VW colours of Sealing Wax Red and Beige Grey by the late Francis Baptist who was well known in VW circles.

Featured as a four page spread in the July 2007 issue of 'Volkswagen Camper UK'. Also featured in the December 2008 issue of NZ Life & Leisure as a three page spread.

She gained 2nd Prize in the 2006 VW Nationals and also received the people's choice award.

I am the 7th owner in the Van's 47 year history. In 2007 I bought the van from Andrew Bayliss who co-organised the 2008 VW Nationals in the Waikato.

The Kombi comes with the original instruction booklet (pictured).

It has been garaged every day, towelled down when driven in the wet and regularly serviced by A-Grade Automotive. Immaculately straight, no rust, this is arguably one of the best Kombi Camper's in NZ

I am selling the van as my eldest daughter has just bought herself a new car and I simply no longer have the garage space for the Kombi. I won't be re-listing her or posting an offer after the auction so this will be the only chance to purchase.
