Description
This ukulele probably dates from the 1950s, but this is only a guess based upon pictures of similar ukuleles.
- It has a solid SPRUCE top.
- The back & sides look like BIRCH stained and finished to look like Rosewood.
- Fretboard looks like Rosewood too.
- Bridge is new made from Brazilian Rosewood.
Currently it is fitted with a low G string and plays very nicely with a round sound.
- The edge binding is a double rope (2 different patterns) design, and the soundhole has an unusual alternating pattern. Both soundhole decoration and edge bindings are made from wood.
- Tuning pegs are new to this uke.
- Case is NOT included but will consider selling it with the uke for an extra $40. It is NEW (Johnson) and is a hard case made of cloth covering polystyrene.
