It was made from recycled road signs that are no longer used by the New Zealand Transport Agency.

A Young Enterprise company called Signsalvage was responsible for this unique creation - the first of its kind in New Zealand.

We thought products like this would be a fun and effective way to promote a good cause so 15% of the profits generated by this auction will be donated to the road safety charity Brake.

Brake exists for a simple reason - because every 30 seconds someone, somewhere in the world, is killed in a road crash. Road deaths and injuries, the misery they cause, and the pollution of our planet by vehicles, is a shameful global epidemic that must end. Brake coordinates Road Safety Week among many of services and events such as It provides services for suddenly bereaved people, including helplines and online literature.
