Grade 1018 commercial quality bright mild steel round bar 1" (25.4mm) in diameter.

The auction is for an offcut of 1" diameter commercial quality steel solid round bar. This offcut is about 3.8m long and is now surplus to our requirements. (We will it into smaller pieces on request but the buyer must take the full offcut and we may charge extra if the buyer wants more than one cut.)

This low carbon steel has a good balance of strength, ductility and toughness plus excellent weldability with very good formability and machinability. It can be used for making axles, bolts, connecting rods, motor shafts, hydraulic shafts, pump shafts, pins, gears, spindles, etc.

We also have regular and marine grade stainless steel in square and rectangular tube, pipe, angle, flat and square bar as well as high and medium tensile steel bars, case hardening and chrome plated bar, hydraulic cylinder tube, leaded gunmetal bronze, copper and brass in stock. We can supply concentric or eccentric reducers, bends and tees that can be welded onto the above if you need them. If you need a different size or quality please ask and we can start a new auction accordingly.

We are one of New Zealand's largest suppliers of stainless steel so if you want something it will probably be worthwhile asking us about it.

Protective packaging may be charged along with delivery charges if the item is not collected.
