Honda ST1100 1999

Sadly selling my ST1100 as I'm giving up touring. Just completed my last trip - Whangarei to Gore return. Superb bike - sensibly ridden and properly maintained. These are made for doing high mileage and this one shows no signs of getting tired.

Comes with service history since 85,000km. New Metzeler Z6's were fitted at 160,000km, now down to 2mm so these are likely to to another couple of thousand kms left. Gets great fuel economy if ridden sensibly - range of between 450 and 550km per tank. Touring 4.8l/100km or 60mpg. Made to run on 91 so extra economy.

Had "new" forks fitted prior to Sth Island trip as chrome was worn through on one of the fork legs - was still warrantable but decided to change anyway. The old forks come as spares as do some other bits and pieces including a spare "summer" screen. Also comes with Haynes manual and printed owner manual and parts manual.

Overall condition is very good - some scratches on the pannier handles, but in general paint is tidy and not faded. No evidence of any crashes or scrapes. The top-box is off another bike and is a bit rough so I'll probably hang on to that - open to negotiation - but the Givi mount goes with it. A fitted Oxford cover comes with it. Has a power outlet in the fairing pocket, heated grips, protection film, headlight protector, mount for radar detector. I'll be keeping the RAM mount and phone holder.

Fresh WOF 19 November and regoed to 20 February. Personalised plate GO 2UP comes with it or may sell separately if anyone is keen.

This would be perfect for someone wanting to do an extended 2-up tour of NZ over the spring/summer. I'd happily jump on and ride to Invercargill again - absolutely no issues with it.

Is also advertised elsewhere. May swap for a 250-650cc range single cylinder adventure-style bike of equal or lesser value - XT, DR, KLX, KLR, XT, TT, XR, WR etc. Able to take credit card payment.
