Description
Truimph Herald estate, a rare machine on our roads now days, NZ born on 14th dec 1970 at lower hutt, its been around Wellington all of its life until recently , I brought this rare little machine with the intention to keep and use as my business run around , but now a new business venture has come by , so am looking for a kind home , the REGO IS ON HOLD, previous owner spent a lot of $$$ , before leaving country ,the motor is OK it rattles a bit when first starts ( cold) and blows a small bit of smoke , but soon clears , it has had twin SU carbs off a truimph torledo , and a torledo gearbox fitted , the rear spring has been re set ( lower) it has 4 new monroe shocks , all the rims have been powder coated and 4 new sky power 175/70/13 tyres, new fuel pump, the car drives OK , but the carbs need tuning ,(no battery) the body is in sound condition , it has had some filler put in the bottom of the doors ( nothing major) and also where the rubber bumpers were , all the floor is sound , only a couple of rust spots in drivers side bottom pillar ( see pic) there is rust in bottom rear roof pillar ( see pic) and some around edge windscreen ( see pic) the seats are out of a earlier model herald ( black ones ) the back seat wont fit the estate, I have the original seats ( see pic ) this rare machine would not take much to get back on the road , I will try and answer all your questions, but I would suggest viewing before bidding if possible , Note the car is in Hunterville , and can be viewed and driven , by calling 027 2679603
