This is a unique opportunity for a full ‘blank canvas’ restoration
The SSS made history winning the East Africa Safari for Nissan
Genuine 1972 Datsun SSS with matching numbers.
Chassis plate and numbers stamped on bulkhead match.
Chassis plate and L16 engine block numbers match.
These numbers also match the ownership papers.
The black number plates are also included
NZ new Japanese assembled
Rego is dead please note.
Body needs a full resto. Rust commensurate with a Datsun of this age – been in storage for years. Suspension & wheels are fitted - trailer/transporter is needed to remove. Evidence of a previous frontal accident repair. Genuine twin SU type carbs & manifold included. 4 speed box – unsure of condition, R160 diff.
Some parts are missing SSS badges (rear quarter SSS badges are replicas) SSS steering wheel Front bumper (SSS over riders are there) 2 door cards there may be more
Includes a SSS dash, needs some wiring.
Interior and upholstery are ready for restoration.
