Honda XR650R ADVENTURE 2000

The ultimate light bulletproof adventure bike...

I spent many hours & many thousands of dollars creating this ultimate light weight adventure bike. It was destined for a Trans African trip; however my plans have changed so regrettably the bike is offered for sale.

The XR650R provided the ideal platform to create a very light & ultra reliable ROW adventure bike. The result is absolutely awesome! Curb weight is 135kg.

If you are familiar with XR650Rs, you will know that the model in essence remained unchanged (apart from graphics) during the years it was made from 2000 to 2007. Accordingly, this bike is exactly the same as a 2007 model, apart from the graphics on the original tank (this is included in the sale along with several other original parts).

When I bought this bike several years ago, it was like new - very low kms. I searched for a long time before finding the right bike for the project (I am very fussy!).

The bike has been fastidiously maintained - regular oil changes using only the best quality oil (new oil filter at each change).

The bike is located near Warkworth, 50 minutes north of Auckland.

A new WOF can be obtained when sold, if required. The bike is on 'Exemption B' registration at present. The new owner will need to change this to 'Private' usage & purchase registration for the period required.
