Description
This camera was purchased in the UK in April 2007 and has served me well and i have looked after it accordingly, i am now parting with it to invest in more professional Canon equipment
It will be missed
Unfortunately the manuals / box /discs and cables are not available and this is being sold as a camera and lens set ONLY.
I never needed the software as i use photoshop and put the SD card in a reader instead of connecting the camera to PC which wastes battery power anyway
This camera has been ideal for my travels, the purpose of which it was bought for, as it runs on AA batteries which are available pretty much anywhere in the world. I will provide 4xAA 2500mAh near new batteries and charger (but charger will need UK mains adapter which you can get for $10-$15 out of any electrical shop)
The lens is Pentax *DA 16-45 F4 and is quite wide at the 16 end and has been great for landscapes, thanks to a long line of pentax heritage it is pretty sharp at f8-f11 and at F4 throughout the entire focal range it is pretty quick compared to standard kit lenses offered from other manufacturers.
The lens was bought in Auckland in April 2008 so is still under NZ warranty
The lens hood has a bit of damage, the plastic connectors were snapped so it doesn't fit well onto the end of the lens but you can get a cheap replacement or perhaps you . Perhaps you can get this fixed under warranty.
The lens itself is sound, there are no mark as it usually had a polariser over the end of it
The filter size is 67mm
- note : the DA is digital only and this lens will not be compatible with any pentax film cameras
