HELP! I am in SO much trouble with the girlfriend - purchased these speakers at the customs clearance auction, and my girlfriend FLIPPED out and said there was NO WAY I was allowed these speakers in the house. My pain = your gain. These are $4000 US ($5,700~ NZ) MRSP, and are BRAND NEW, never used, still in the boxes! Start = Reserve, which is a fraction of the new price (luckily I didn't pay full price for these or this would hurt FAR more than it already does!) PLUS, for free, you get the satisfaction of keeping me in the GOOD BOOKS with my gf - which is PRICELESS (and kind of a rare thing too).

I would put my foot down and keep these, except we live in an apartment, and it wouldn't be good for our neighbourly relations if I cranked these up - they really are top end Hi fi! And if I DID put my foot down, well, I would just get into MORE trouble...and the last thing I want is a GF who has 'headaches' for the next month!

Now to the actual speakers! These are a full set of Marc Vincent Limited Edition PLATINUM SERIES MV-8000s Towers + full set of surrounds (5 speakers in total). This is their top range. Italian designed, German made. Seriously good sound. Still can't understand why she doesn't get it! TOP OF THE RANGE! Specs:
