Synopsis : Set in London’s smoky jazz scene, this updating of Othello features a strong cast and appearances by some of the best known names of the jazz world. Rod Hamilton runs a jazz club in the east end. Aurelius is a star musician happily married to former singer Delia. Their lives are disrupted by envious drummer Johnny Cousins who wants Delia to join his new band. He manipulates Aurelius into thinking his friend Cass is having an affair with Delia. The tense, atmospheric drama is accompanied by a superb score and the era is vividly evoked.
