This is the genuine article c1848 and probably Baccarat though could be Clichy.It is what is known as a miniature paperweight having a diameter of approx 4.5 cm.The canes have 12 points and are very closely packed with vivid colours

This has been in our family since the year dot,probably came out from England in 1860 when my ancestors landed at Lyttleton on one of the first four boats

It does have some minor chips and there is quite some wear to the base;were it not for this I would not offer it on Trademe however I am not giving it away as I do have a fare idea of price even with some damage.
