This is a true piece of early (post second world war) New Zealand history!
The carved stock is on a 1943 dated 303 sported rifle. The bolt numbers are not matching and the bore is in dirty & poor condition! There is a small damaged area on the forestock which is also shown in the photos.
Only the left hand side of the stock has been carved by the craftsman (as shown in the photos) and I'm not even sure what the carvings represent?...but it obviously took many hours, weeks and months to do!
Selling it in 'as is' condition.
I will need the the purchaser to mail (not fax or email) a Police mail order form before it can be sent in NZ unless its picked up.
