16ft Sea Ray Bowrider - w Merc 175hp EFI - $1res

1. This is Nick’s boat – and whilst he knows he needs to sell it due to non use, it doesn’t make it any easier. I’m selling it as I don’t use it. Quick take it away before I change my mind.
2. It’s a Sea Ray 160 (16ft) Bowrider. It is the USA manufactured mould, not the mould that was used in Christchurch for a number of years. This means that it has the US appointment of equipment, and the higher level of finish. The trailer is an eziloader trailer with self correcting rollers. It is currently reg’d and WOF’d
3. The boat has been owned by me since new – it was bought from Sports Marine in 1991. We even have the original documentation!
4. It has only ever been stored under cover, to the expense of our cars which get parked outside! It gets polished once a year.
5. It has predominantly been used in fresh water. (Waikato River and Rotorua Lakes) I can count the sea water uses on one hand.
6. In 1996 the boat was repowered with the Mercury 175hp EFI. And with a 23pitch 5 blade, the boat will pull to 65-70mph, yes 110km!!!
7. The Mercury has done 275hours, and has been serviced all its life by Mike at Mike Allington Marine, a Mercury service agent. The engine was rebuilt at 250hrs by Mike
8. The boat starts and runs just like it should. I can email a video to anyone that is interested.
9. As I used the boat for water skiing it has a ‘hot foot’ foot throttle, however the throttle cable for the hammer is still there so the foot throttle can be removed. But once you have used it, you won’t want to use anything else.
10. I have replaced the fuel tank floor cover, and rearranged the back storage, hence why the change in carpet colour
11. Boat comes with transport/storage cover, as well as a bimini – which has never been used.
12. It currently has a 21pitch 5 blade Stainless prop. See my other auctions for a 21pitch 3 blade, and the 23pitch 5blade.
