1975 Volvo G88 270hp Single Drive Day Cab Tractor Unit for sale.
This truck is very rare, and is one of only two Day cab single drives left on the road in NZ.
It was sold new to Direct Transport in Rotorua, and is factory fitted with a 13 speed Roadranger transmission (Direct Transport specs), Volvo diff and 270hp Volvo engine.
The truck has had significant engine work ($11k) and major cab maintainence ($6k), the rest of the truck is in very sound condition, so the hard work for a restoration has been completed.
The truck drives very well, and is "well behaved" on the road. Always easy to get a CoF. The truck has been shed stored for the last 12 years.
We would like to truck to be owned by a collector who recognises the uniqueness of this piece of NZ transport history. So please with respect to all watchers/bidders, this truck is only for sale to a collector / enthusiast.
