This camera is one of the Olympus flagship range of DSLRs, and as such is suited to pros, prosumers and enthusiasts looking for something different from the usual Canon and Nikon fare. It is weather-resistant, dust-resistant, and an excellent camera both outdoors and in the studio. Full manual control available.

A massive, bright viewfinder gives you 100% view and 1.15x magnification, while most DSLRs give you only 95%. It's a whole new world, truly.

Manual focus lenses - such as the old Zuiko OM series - are easily used on the E-3 through a cheap adapter ring. These lenses are amazing quality, and cheap second-hand.

Olympus have added in-built image stabilisation to almost all of their SLRs, meaning that you don't have to waste money and weight on other manufacturer's lenses that need IS because their camera bodies don't have it.

Live view, with the variable angle LCD screen, lets you take all sorts of creative shots, my favourites being the low-to-ground ones, looking up - or shooting over the heads of a crowd. Easy.

The camera comes with a strap, Olympus battery, NZ plug battery charger, USB cable, instruction manual, xD card.

Only 9,314 shutter activations since new, with a shutter life of 100,000 activations.
