Description
Ametrine rings don't have to cost a fortune but is so lovely due to their unique nature of colours.
Ametrine, also known as trystine or by its trade name as bolivianite, is a naturally occurring variety of quartz. It is a mixture of amethyst and citrine with zones of purple and yellow or orange. This has a nice saturations a bit darker than in my photos can capture
Lovely unusual stone with a good distribution of colour between the violet/purple and light orange/yellow
Almost all ametrine is mined in Bolivia, although there are deposits being exploited in Brazil and India.
The colour of the zones visible within ametrine are due to differing oxidation states of iron within the crystal. The different oxidation states occur due to there being a temperature gradient across the crystal during its formation.
This a beautifully made 9ct yellow gold ring with a faceted rectangular cut ametrine gem and two diamonds on either side. The ametrine gem is a member of the quartz family.
This gem has purple and yellow colouring given it a delightful rainbow hue. The nicely sized 7x5mm The ring is a size O1/2 and can be easily sized up or down.
Marked 9k. Stunning unusual stone!!! All my gemstones are natural gemstones.
Items will take about 2 weeks to arrive.
