Pre-1921 studio portrait of a Senior Army officer in full dress with insignia pips. Cap has Bullion King's Crown (Tudor) badge with lion. Crown also visible on epaulette, as well as a (possibly) Garter Star. If this ID is correct, this portrait could be of a Lieutenant Colonel, but details are not clear enough to state categorically. The portrait is by Duffus, Cape Town. This business was dissolved after bankruptcy proceedings in 1912; a successor company formed by William Duffus and a principal creditor was eventually wound up in 1921. The back is blank wxcept for evidence of a piece of sellotape along the top edge. A small piece of the top right-hand corner of the image is missing.
