History of the Sisters St Joseph of Nazareth with the focus on Wanganui. Also tells of their presence in Otaki, Feilding, Hawera, Taihape, Waipawa and other towns and of Mother Mary McKillop, their Founder.

An excellent feature of the book is an Appendix which gives the name of every Sister from 1880-2000. Each has Religious name, birth name, birthplace, dates of entry into the Congregation and of death (if relevant). Some indicate where they were educated.

Another Appendix lists the locations of schools, Maori Missions etc run by the Sisters, with details.
