The sewage drainage pumps (sometimes known as sump or effluent pumps) are designed to pump dirty water and sewage overflow from the grey water tank / pump-out-pit .

There are many ways that these pumps can be used for draining water. The basic way the pump works on effluent is as follows: Raw sewage and grey water flow from your house to the septic tank. From the septic tank, the fluids overflow into the grey water tank/pump-out-pit. The sewage-drainage pump sits at the bottom of this tank/pit. As the tank/pit fills, it causes the float switch to stand up vertically, triggering the pump to turn on and empty the tank until the float switch lays horizontal again (floating on top of the fluid).

The pump is particularly notable for its compactness in construction, tightess in sealing quality, high efficiency in energy conservation and durability.
