We have just machined up some well seasoned nz grown black walnut with very pleasing grain. These shorts are in 200 x 60mm shorts ends. Please note.... this is the deep purple/brown coloured walnut, known as American/Black walnut. It is one of the sort after timbers of the world.. it has an even grain and is relatively heavy weight. Very suited to boat building, quality cabinetry work, tables, shelving, pen mblanks, jewellery boxes, inspection is well worth the effort or I can try to fit the timber to your intended use.
