This auction is for one Kio Kio Native New Zealand fern. Well established potted plants - as pictured in the auction.

This fern is a great choice for native gardens, or tropical gardens, planted as a ground cover plant under pungas and palms, and is hardy in my frost prone Christchurch garden. Like most ferns , the kio kio prefers shade and a moist soil - best under taller trees or on the south side of the house.

Once established, this fern is remarkably low maintenance - just requiring the odd prune of old fronds to keep it tidy.

New growth is a lovely shade of pinky / red - the fronds mature to vibrant green.

Pick up available from Westmorland - easy access at the bottom of the hill. Or happy to post / courier.
