Full sun loving bromeliad growing up to 40cm wide, with deep maroon leaves, dappled with spots and splashes of green. Can take light frosts.

You are bidding on a bare root pup not a full size plant. This is the best way of sending bromeliads and they will soon take root once planted in soil or potting mix. For most of the year, planting straight into the soil is fine, but over winter, best to pot up in a protected area first, then plant out in spring.

The pups will range from 5-20cm high depending on the variety; small varieties will tend to have smaller pups, larger varieties tend to have larger pups, except the giants such as Alcantarea, where the pup size bears little relationship to the plant size.
