A mixture of colours of medium height. 20 seed Cosmos are so easy to grow. They can tolerate very dry conditions and are pest and disease resistant. Avoid soils that are too rich, which can cause the plants to get too tall and flop over. Space plants close together at 30-45cm apart.This helps plants to support each other and grow upright. For best flowering grow in full sun, however they will grow in half sun. They make a good cut flower and are attractive to bees and butterflies. They stay in flower for months and will self sow, but not to the point of becoming a nuisance. Deadhead to encourage more flowering, or pick flowers regularly to encourage more flowering. Can be chopped back to half size for repeat flowering. Because cosmos are so easy they are an excellent choice for beginner gardeners and children to grow.
