Super safe design for open water paddling, great stability, heaps of storage, and smooth hull lines that make it move efficiently through the water with two paddlers (in my experience, with two paddlers, a proper double boat like this is faster and more stable, and with more storage, than taking two singles). There are not many of these around in such good condition, this design is a popular rental model due to its safe and stable design.

Similar style of big ocean expedition boat to the sea bear packhorse double, but hull lines are more rounded (similar to a Canadian canoe). Hull shape is similar to a Sisson southern light, but the cockpits are large for easy entry/exit like a barracuda or SeaBear packhorse. Fibreglass. Dimensions are 6.1 m length x 0.81 m width, and tips the scales at about 55kg so be aware it is a large beast to load and unload from the racks (if you have a trailer it makes it much easier).

Paddles like a dream at sea, on lakes and rivers, and can handle big sea conditions without breaking a sweat. Has been down the Whanganui river with no ill effects (with an experienced driver of course). Large central hatch is big enough for a third person. Includes 2x basic paddles (not the same ones from the photo, but similar style of one piece paddles from Fergs), 2x basic spray decks, 1x basic transport trolley, and 2x basic life jackets (the accessories are very well used, unlike the boat which is in excellent condition).
