The Sightlight was designed by Leroy C. Doane. He filed for a patent on June 7, 1946, and the patent was granted on October 5, 1948. The lamps were manufactured by M. G. Wheeler Co., Inc. of Greenwich, Connecticut.

This is a fabulous example of the Mid Century Modern Flying Saucer M.G. WHEELER Sight Light Lamp

This lamp is made of metal solid brass.

The stem swivels to position, a full 360 degrees.

The shade and base are an industrial green with a beautiful crackle/craze finish to the base. The shade clips onto the socket and is attached with three brass round nuts viewable on the top. Under the shade is the original tags"

This lamp is in very good vintage condition. The wiring and cord are in good working order.

The base is 24cm square and the lamp is approx 60cm long and 32cm tall.

I have just searched ebay and first dibbs and see these lights sell upwards of $900 (NZ) so this ORIGINAL is a rare find and an amazing price.
