Description
Height-2600mm Width-490mm maximum Depth-215 maximum Dial-215mm maximum. Solid Brass.
Simplicity is the key to this English Oak timepiece. This clock is in original condition and shows the "normal" aging process one would expect from an article almost two and a half centuries old. It has never been professionally restored. Although a maker's name is not evident on the mechanism itself, elements and characteristics gleaned from research and borne out by photographic evidence provided substantiate the claim of it being 250 years old dating from 1750. it is accurate and strikes on the hour with enthusiasm. Adjustment to the speed is via movement manually on the pendulum. Details/Faults to note.-from the top Centre piece between the swans necks is missing, swans neck is cracked. Lock on Case Missing. Pedastol has loose or soft elements. Wood ok but glue and nailing loose. Left hand foot missing.
Selling willing to answer questions within his limited knowledge. Can provide specific photographs if requested.
This clock is currently in Timaru.
