Mintage 175. Assigned number 2012/3 in the new "MacMaster II" catalogue of post-1941 medals, published in July 2014.
The mysterious creature has been identified since publication as a beaver - a nod to the name "Beavertown" given to Blenheim in the early days. The medal was produced for a Philatelic Exhibition in Blenheim held 10-14 October 2012.
51mm, reverse plain. Obverse in impressively high relief. In woven (flax?) bag of issue.
