GB 1697 silver shilling - William III, third bust. A superb example that appears to have seen little if any handling since being struck on the Tower Mint presses during the great recoinage. Original mint bloom.
Adjustment marks - very typical of the period. This is where the planchet was adjusted at the mint by filing to reach the correct weight. S3505
