Rare design square post Brass bed possibly pre -1900. Has been in the same South African family for 3 generations, the history before this is unclear. Sadly parting with this heirloom due to retirement and downsizing/

The Bed End has an unusual motif and the stunning Bed Head posts have hinged brass wings for fitting drapery.

Height measurements will increase by 70mm if the castors are added. (we have used it without castors)

BED HEAD All brass fitted with cast iron brackets for slotting into cast iron base. 2150mm High x 1400mm wide

BED END All brass fitted with cast iron brackets for slotting into the cast iron base. 1050mm High x 1420mm Wide.

BED BASE Steel frame with coil springs plus added at some time 2nd base frame with interwoven timber slats for extra firmness.

OVERALL BED SIZE 2050mm Long x 1420mm Wide BED HEIGHT 600mm which will increase by 70mm when castors are fitted.

Currently needs a polish and has some surface blemishes as per photo. Looks stunning when polished.
