French Art Deco CHARLES MURAT 18C Gold Plated Gypsy / Creole Hoop Earrings, c1930
The earrings are marked on the wires with the French maker's mark of Charles Murat (initials GL separated by a sprig of mistletoe), the mark guarantees 18/24 carat gold plate.
The wires are in full working order. The hoops are 2.1cm in diameter. There is wear to the earrings compatible with age, see photos.
Charles Murat founded his jewellery business in France in 1851 with partner Georges Legros whose initials were used for the maker's mark. These earrings were purchased in France.
