Vintage Sterling Garnet Marcasite Ring

The oval, very deep red garnet is the centerpiece to this ring, it is just a gorgeous color and in excellent condition, no marks or scratches noted with a loupe. Decorated with marcasites and millegrain beading which adds an elegant touch.

This ring is a size 16.5mm internal diameter. The garnet measures 7mm x 5mm. Purity marked '925' for sterling silver. Soft patina on the silver due to age.

The garnet is the birthstone for January and considered a healing stone, it is thought to regenerate the body and spirit and to ease melancholy.
