He was born 15/6/1885 in Southland New Zealand. Enlisted 19/8/1914 and was discharged 12/7/1918 being no longer fit for war service due to his wounds.His length of service was 3 years 328 days. 86 days in New Zealand and 3years 243 days overseas. Regiment: Otago Mounted Rifles.He served in Egypt, France and the Dardanelles.He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.Unfortunately I only have to 1914-1915 Star.The medal has a tarnish on the left hand side and the ribbon has a tear in it due to its age.I haven't been able to locate his other 2 medals.
