Description
This is a genuine WW1 medal correctly impressed 42242 PTE W WRIGHT NZEF.
I am unsure how long I have had this for - but it will be decades. William Wright from New North Road Kingsland was a Pte in the Wellington Infantry. He received a gun shot wound to the neck on 4/10/17 during the first battle of Passchendaele.
He was treated and returned to his unit, likely in time for the second battle. He was sent back to New Zealand in May 1918 and died at Auckland in 1920. His death was attributed to his war service and he is buried at Waikumete.
I am a licensed second hand dealer. GST is included.
