Description
This retro handcrafted New Zealand native timbers bowl with an impressive cruciform lid may well have been made by a hobby crafts person.
It has the design and style of commercial items but needs a light sand and oiling to bring out its true potential.
It is 15cm at the widest diameter, is nearly 13cm across the base and nearly 6.5cm high to the top of the nob on the lid.
The lid is 11cm wide overall, and the opening is nearly 10.5cm across and just over 3cm deep.
The surface except for the rim edges under the lid and the base lack a sheen but a little TLC will have it looking great.
An easy project for someone who loves to get the best out of a pre-loved gem.
We are having a well overdue clean-out.
Pickup is North Shore, Auckland, close to harbour bridge.
