'New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition Dunedin, 1925 - 26'

• A Plaque depicting the 'New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition, Dunedin, 1925 - 26'
• Those words are on the lower part of the Plaque
• The Plaque appears to have been hand-made - perhaps a limited number were made??
• The scene shows The Grand Court area, showing the Dome's raised for emphasis
• The pool area is to the right of the scene
• Curved patterns form a band around the perimeter of the Plaque
• I think it would have been hand-painted/hand-glazed - this highlights the different areas of the scene.. the colours are softly toned which enhances the appearance of the Plaque
• Contoured with raised areas to accent parts of the scene
• Made of pottery??
• There's a string-tie at the back ready to hang the Plaque
• A small area at the back has been left unglazed
• A slight chip above the 'e' of the word 'New'
• Some wear markings, although these may be part of the glazing of the Plaque as some are within hollow areas
• The Plaque measures: 194mm x 192mm x 21mm
• An unusual and interesting Plaque highlighting the 1925 - 1926 Exhibition
