Two very special antique plates for the price of one.

Beautifully painted porcelain plates from the Limoges region in France. Haviland set up his factory there in 1842 and has created some of the most beautiful china.

These matching plates feature large golden yellow with a tinge of apricot roses. The plate has an unusual scalloped edge with sections of the rim decorated with wide bands of gilding. The quality of the plate is evident in that there is no age crazing - remarkable for the age of the plates.

Unfortunately both plates have some damage.

#1 has been repaired after it had one small part broken off . #2 has been repaired after being broken in half and has some pieces missing. Despite this they both have an antique charm.
