2007 HOT AIR BALLOON CAL FLOWN FDC Pilot Signed.
This 50 c NZ Post CAL was issued on 3rd July 2007 to celebrate the Philatelic Youth Council's Stamp Camp held at Blue Skies Scout Headquarters in Kaiapoi.
A highlight of the camp was a 2 hour special Hot Air Balloon flight held on the afternoon of 3rd of July, carrying crew and 4 passengers plus 200 Pilot signed first day covers on which this is one. The covers were postmarked at Darfield and then carried on the Balloon flight for 12km heading North West before landing.
The cover has been pilot signed by Michael Oakley.
