E Pahi At is Taihape backwards, as seen in small print (too small to read in the on-screen jpeg) in the rear-vision mirror, centre of painting. That's what you see when you leave Taihape. These are my impressions of an Easter holiday in a house on a hill overlooking Taihape. Yes, I did enter the great gumboot throw on Easter Monday, and no, I didn't win. I realised I should have practised while I was waiting in line to throw my three gumboots, but as the guy waiting beside me said, "If you'd practised, mate, you might have put your shoulder out." Acrylic on canvas, painted around the edges. Fitted with hooks and hanging wire, ready to hang on the wall.
