Description
The subject would appear to be an early Auckland inner suburb. These charming watercolours show homes and backyards from another era, largely gone now. These paintings were framed by the John Leech Gallery at 10 Lorne Street, where they were from 1973 to 1983. Of course they may have been painted earlier than that. The artist may have been Annette. R. Gibson, North Shore, Auckland, who has painted in a similar way and in the same subject matter. Can any viewer confirm? They are framed, matted and glazed, in excellent condition.
Dimensions; frame 370mm wide x 395mm high.
