Santorini is like three islands, the part with caldera view, the beaches, and the rest of the island. The caldera view towns are Fira, Imerovigli, Firastefani and Oia perched so far above the sea that it a gives stunning visual effect.
The traditional architecture of Santorini is of low-lying cubical houses, made of local stone and whitewashed or limewashed with various volcanic ashes used as colours. The unique characteristic is the common utilisation of the hypóskapha - extensions of houses dug sideways or downwards into the surrounding pumice. With ever lasting azure blue skies spreading miles throughout the sea, the city is filled with many view points each boasting it's own paradisiacal beauty.
One can never be bored of exploring the city, as each street and each clock hour makes the streets look beautifully different. All in all, every part of the city is filled with amazing views worthy of colorful artworks.
