Each of Lothar Pötzl´s bodypaintings is a complete artwork in itself: Embedded in the self-created or real coulisse, his body art generates a truly complete staging. In particular, the artist feels fascinated by the broken and the morbid. However, it is not seldom that his compositions are abstract, surrealistic and colourful. His occupation as scene painter provides him with a true treasure trove of materials and inspiration. In this imaginative photo volume, Lothar Pötzl presents his work on the topics of material, colour, form and humans. His artworks arise intuitively and without layout drafts. The artist himself even makes the photographs to ensure that the aesthetics and beauty of the female body is caught in the picture representing his personal style – sometimes subtle, sometimes provocative.

Lothar is a scene painter and in this book he uses his skill to create and paint his own scenery, which combined with his body paintings, create exceptionally beautiful artworks.

This books is about freedom of expression, Lothar doesn't plan out his art and does not give any of the peices titles, preferring instead to let the viewer decide for themselves what it is that they see.
