It was excellant as it hangs inside the cot until they are old enough to be in the cot . You can gently give baby a little rock.You can also purchase a basinet stand for it from farmers but we didn't bother. Straps are adjustable so you can raise baby's head slightly if they have a cold or suffer from reflux.
