NZ Basic Script as set out in MOE Guidelines!

This set of Handwriting Cards, which will be emailed to you, as a .pdf file, focuses on the correct formation of both the Lowercase and Uppercase letters of the Alphabet.

The font is NZ Basic Script with the letters formed as recommended in the Ministry of Education Handbook ~ Teaching Handwriting

So students can have repeated practice, as they work towards mastery, the pack contains a separate practice page, for each letter of the alphabet.

Individual sheets can be photocopied for the letter of the day or week. If you would like the Cards smaller, when you go to print, click on Properties and in the Multiple Page option, set the Pages for 2 to one, which are a great size to easily glue into student books.

Laminated copies can be added to your Independent Activity centre or Daily 5 Activities, or used for extra practice for the “early finishers”.

Each A-Z page shows

• how to correctly form the letter with a starting point and directional arrows
• two rows of the same letter for students to copy over, in a lighter font colour so they can easily see their own work.
