Taking as a point of departure the Holy Family's flight from Herod, with its obvious parallel to her own family's flight from Hitler, Mrs Trapp describes how she and her family have spent many years in joint research into the gospels, reconstructing the events and background of Jesus, Mary and Joseph's life in terms of their own experiences.'

A companion volume of sorts to 'The Story of the Trapp Family Singers', the family's external story, this volume in turn is an account of the Trapp Family's 'inner life'.

Condition Dust jacket: G The dust jacket is wholly intact but shows a bit of general wear and tear, including: faded spine; three very small tears; foxing (yellow spots), especially on rear of cover and flip side of jacket; and ownership stamp on top front cover. The front inside flap has not been price clipped. Hardcover: Ex- Virtually flawless condition. Front-/ End-papers: G/ G The front-/ end-papers are in good repair. However, each show a brown rectangular strip common to dust jacketed books like this one. The front-papers have the same ownership stamp as on the cover; while the end-papers show moderate foxing. Pages: VG+ A fair bit of foxing is evident along the edges of the pages, which very occasionally runs down onto the pages themselves; and the first and last few pages show moderate foxing. But generally the pages are very clean, and in superb repair.
