Published in 1983 and 1984 respectfully, this iconic set by Rugby great Andy Haden departs from the usual retirement biography/autobiography. At a time in our country's rugby history when players were supposed to keep quiet, and leave decision making up to mainly administrators Haden wasn't afraid to challenge the status quo. In both books he critiques the system, discusses controversies including the issue of professionalism and rugby politics. In the second volume he covers among other things the unpopular 1985 Cavaliers tour to South Africa.
